So married couples should go on dates to keep the marriage spicy....so the experts say. Well for the record..married people date, just not their spouse.
Oh no....send out the firing squad...yes I did say it.
Let me let you in on a little secret...married people date other married people. Its in the form of a business meeting, lunch date, coffee break, or even a shopping trip. We have our "dates" so we can be around other people, and get different views of opinions. Is there sex involved..no. When you think of this situation...look at it from this angle. We deal with our nagging spouses all day everyday...we never get a mental or emotional break from them. So when we come across another married person in our same boat we instantly hit it off. The number one rule is to not talk about your spouse...the dates are not venting or slam sessions.
Talk about current events, sports, etc. Anything but what's going on in your marriage. Keep the playing field neutral. Remember you are on this date to relax your mind, so when you do come home to your spouse, you are refreshed and ready to focus on them. So yes....we do date....and it is great for the marriage!
